The new school campus building in La Sallaz is conceived as a compact volume hosting multiple functions within the generous green space of the protected park with centenary trees. The building integrates in the ensemble of school pavilions designed by L. Roux et R. Loup in the beginning of 1950s. The compact volume mirrors  the neighboring structures, leaving the space to flow in-between freely. Together with the wing  of primary school, it embraces a new entrance court around a large cedar tree.

A simple wooden structure with a subtle cantilever accommodates the multifunctional program of the school, ensuring smooth operations while offering a degree of flexibility. The gym on the partly underground floor opens generously towards the sports cluster of the campus, while the classrooms are organized along a bright, spacious corridor that faces the park. A double-height loggia, oriented towards the heart of the campus, invites students to engage with the building and its surroundings.
